Giving Tree

Christmas Giving Tree

Toward the end November and in the first part of December, you will see our parish Christmas tree in the back of church, adorned with paper tags in Advent colors.

On the tags are listed designated charities or organizations, and suggested gift ideas.

Parishioners help needy children, veterans, and senior adults by taking a tag from the Giving Tree and returning the item(s) to church.

Easter Basket Distribution

During Lent, parishioners will find a basket of Easter eggs filled with suggestions for giving in the back of church. Completed Easter baskets are donated to children in need. Also, items for homebound parishioners and senior adults are accepted.

Parish Tree Trimming

The St. Daniel parish community celebrates the birth of Christ together at the annual Parish Tree Trimming, usually held on the Fourth Sunday of Advent. There is a Christmas Pageant in church, followed by the blessing of the parish Christmas tree. Then all are invited to the Cushing Center for a hot dog dinner provided by the Men of St. Daniel, plus games, activities, and a visit with Santa for the kids.
