Scripture Study

We offer a variety of bible studies throughout the year. Join one for some spiritual refreshment, knowledge and renewal!

Wednesday morning 10:00 am -11:30 am

Year round weekly reflection on the Sunday Scriptures.

Ordinary Time might seem so green and familiar and maybe even boring but not so fast these readings are packed with the challenge of mystery and mercy and love. Please join the weekly Sunday by Sunday group any Wednesday at 10:00 AM as we pray with, reflect on, and study the upcoming Sunday scriptures so we can be a person that unleashes the Gospel here in our time and place.

For further information please contact Georgia Benoit at gamagmb@yahoo.com

Wednesday afternoon 12:30 pm - 2:00pm

Will begin September 11.

For further information contact Sheri Griffith at 248.425.8824 for information.

Wednesday evening 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm

We will begin on September 18 with the study of the Book of Revelation, one of the most confusing and misunderstood books of the Bible. This study presented by Fr. Matthew Kauth and written by Scott Hahn and Mark Shea will help you dive into the 22 engrossing chapters of the Book of Revelation, all guided by the Magesterium, the bride of Christ's church. Study starts with the first lesson on September 18 at 7:15pm.

To sign up and order books contact Bev or Fred Novack at novackbf@att.net or 248-623-2950.

Thursday morning 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Explore the Scriptures Thursday mornings from 9:30-11 am in the Cushing Center Lounge. We will explore several 3-8 week studies from Oct. to mid May. You don't have to be a Bible scholar or have any Bible study experience to enjoy and share in our lively discussions. Join us for one or all of the studies or just drop in to see what we are all about. Invite a friend to join you. There is a $15-25 donation for each study to cover the cost of materials.

Join us Thursday Oct 3rd  at 9:30 am to meet our group and enjoy a video introduction to our first study on the Spirituality of Paul.

Surely the biblical writer who most helps us discover the Christ Mystery is the Apostle Paul. Letters by Paul or influenced by him form one third of the New Testament [and predate the gospels]. Paul is a foundational teacher for what became Christianity. Paul [like us] never met Jesus. He did, however, encounter the risen Christ.  Fr. Richard Rohr  Explore key biblical passages from the early church's most influential and often misunderstood evangelist and discover the rich spiritual tradition of Paul that continues to influence believers today.

Join us Thursday Oct 3rd – Nov 21st. Books from Little Rock Scripture Study will be available at the Introductory Lesson on Oct 3rd.
