St. Daniel Parish has the need this winter season for a person (or a small team) to become the weekend sidewalk snow removal person for the campus. This is a paid position that involves clearing snow from and applying ice melt to the sidewalks of the church, both sides of the Cushing Center, and the rectory when it snows from 4:00 p.m. on Friday through 2:00 p.m. on Sunday each week through approximately mid-April. The person/team will be responsible for having sidewalks cleared 30 minutes before the start of an event. Known events would be: A.A. Meeting Friday at 7:00 p.m.; Daily Mass (9:00 a.m.), Confessions (4:00 p.m.), and Sunday Vigil Mass (5:00 p.m.) on Saturday; all three Sunday Masses (7:30, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.), plus events such as coffee and donuts after Mass. Other weekend events may be included. Calendar of events, snow removal tools, and map of areas to be shoveled to be provided. Ideal candidate would live nearby to better observe weather patterns. For more information, or if interested, please contact Scott Brancheau at 248-623-5871.

As in past years, we will be helping hundreds of individuals through our Christmas outreach. The Giving Trees are up in the back of church, and there are still tags waiting to be claimed (equating to individuals to be helped). Tags will be replenished for our weekend Masses. Of particular importance are the purple angel tags, the pink heart tags and the teal reindeer tags, as these represent gifts we have committed to providing. How does Giving Tree work? Basically, you find a tag, purchase that item, then return it on/before Sunday, December 10. Gifts should be NEW and returned unwrapped but in a Christmas gift bag with tag attached. There is a virtual Giving Tree as well, available at https://signup.com/go/pvRCCSJ. If you have questions about the Giving Tree or our Christmas outreach, contact the Evangelical Charity/Christian Service Office at christianservice@stdanielclarkston.org or 248-625-4583. Thank you for caring and sharing!

Everyone who submits a poster will receive a small prize for participating, handed out at class or from the Faith Formation Office.

While groups like Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul are part of St. Daniel Parish, they are actually separate entities with their own bank accounts. As such, donation checks should be made payable directly to the specific group, NOT St. Daniel Parish. If you ever have a question about how to make your check payable, reach out the Parish Office at 248-625-4580!
